|Classy YouTube for fancy high quality videos when you're sending someone a project for professional reasons and not funny cat videos or prank fails.
Somewhere among 1950s housewife domesticity, frat boy humor GIFs, and 400 million wedding albums (all curated by women who are not even in relationships, much less engaged to be married) there is a pleasant place called Pinterest.
Lose yourself for hours looking at hair styles, colors, highlights, and bangs or sexy pinup photos that you wish you could emulate for your nonexistent boyfriend.
The endless barrage of "hang in there" and "God loves me" inspirational memes add filler to scroll down your feed and find the much more interestingly juicy things like bitchy eCards.
Workout/Get Fit boards are even more useless than the inspirational quotes but at least there are always sexy half naked men boards like "Let's Hear It For the Boys"...
You have to name your boards something punny or interesting or else you lose at Pinterest. Enjoy!
Twitter is great for writing Facebook status updates on a different platform. It's a space to put your one-liners in hopes of passively making it big as a comedy writer by never submitting yourself to any projects or management companies.
Sitting on your ass and writing adorable observations on your completely average life is how you succeed.
Also, I heard the most recent writer on Family Guy got the job because of someone following his Twitter feed.
Groupon is cool, I bought a massage deal and the place was doing renovations and so never answered their phone, and also blocked out all of my available times to come ... they were trying to push me past the expiration date so I would only get the "paid amount" and would have to make up the difference and pay them more...
Groupon refunded my money. :) Thanks Groupon!
Hulu needs to include CBS, or CBS needs to allow Hulu to stream their content I guess is a better way of phrasing that...
I mean I watch a lot of shows on other channels but all of my favorite shows are on CBS and I get screwed out of seeing them since I don't pay for cable. :(
I really loved those bomb Alec Baldwin commercials when it first started though, haha.
We used to have these things called Encyclopedias, where you could flip through and learn facts about the world. They were heavy, they took up a lot of room, and they needed updating far too often to commit to buying a set, but we still all had a set in our houses... even if it was missing book #10 Garrison - Halibut. Some people even paid payments to have these books.
Now we have wikipedia. It's easily edited by any rando on the internet and we all take it as the word of God...
I'm pretty sure you still can't cite it on a research paper for school, but maybe that has changed?
Facebook changes far too often, and there are a crap-ton of ads now...
Also there are parents, grandparents, and various elder community members that you don't want seeing your party pics but your friends always tag you in photos without your permission.
Netflix was cool until my ex and I broke up... now I don't feel comfortable using his password.
I don't like that it automatically plays things when you select them just trying to see the info/blurb...
Otherwise I had no problems. :)
