Clothing , Shopping

Forever 21 is the authority on fashion & the go-to retailer for the latest trends, must-have styles & the hottest deals. Shop dresses, tops, tees, leggings & more.

Forever 21 is the 5th largest specialty retailer in the United States.

A customer from Toronto named her daughter Tiev Forever Golding because she almost had her baby in a Forever 21 store. Once the child’s passport expires, they plan to legally change her first name to “Forever”.

The average Forever 21 store is 38,000 square feet, the largest is approximately 162,000 square feet and the original Fashion 21 store is only 900 square feet.

Fashion 21 rung up $700,000 in sales in its first year. The prior three businesses that occupied that building failed within the first year.

Even with the company’s tremendous growth, it still remains a family owned business.

The website itself is easy to navigate, and a lot of the clothes are pretty cheap, especially if you get them on sale, and cute. However, even though I'm giving the categories here a good star rating, I have a lot of issues with the clothes.

The clothes are usually really cheap in quality as well as price. (Some clothes are really overpriced considering the fabric quality if you don't get them on sale, but if you wait long enough they will probably go on sale and you can get some good deals. But that's beside the point.) They aren't well made at all and a lot of them fall apart or tear very easily due to low quality fabric and low quality stitching jobs. Some things I've gotten have been fine - like a few dresses and a shirt - but the rest have been very poor quality. The jeans are flimsy and not durable at all and get worn down easily. I've gotten several shirts that are poorly made and fit weird - and not just on me, on everyone who's tried them on. You get what you pay for when it comes to their clothes.

Another complaint I have is the plus size section, and this is a complaint I have about most clothing stores. Their plus size section is pathetic compared to the "normal" size section. As a plus sized person who likes cute clothes, it always irritates me to see the discrepancy between the variety in the plus size section versus the non-plus size section. The non-plus size section has tons more clothing items, more sales and deals, and more options than the plus size section. The plus size section really needs to be expanded and given more attention.

With that said, some of my favorite clothing items are from Forever 21, and I still check occasionally to see if there's anything worth buying on sale. You get what you pay for; don't expect anything long-lasting, and make sure to read reviews to see if you're getting something that fits weird or that is a weird size or bad quality.

This history podcast is the work of Mike Duncan, who wrote and narrated the epic 'History of Rome' podcast.

So far he has covered the English (very good), American (excellent) and French (very good) revolutions. All in lots of detail, from the 'seeds of change' that led up to th...

Such a fantastic podcast!
Duncan has a knack for narrative history, taking all the disparate stories and facts and weaving it all together into a story that's fun and engaging.
It's also very well researched.
Would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history.

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...

I have found the History of English podcast absolutely riveting; in fact, I 'binged- listened' my way through the first 100 or so episodes, and am very relieved that there are clearly many more to come :-). History via etymology - a great concept, well-delivered by Kevin. Highly recommended.
