Business , Online Payment

PayPal is an international e-commerce business allowing payments and money transfers to be made through the Internet. Online money transfers serve as electronic alternatives to paying with traditional paper methods, such as checks and money orders. It is subject to the US economic sanction list, and subject to other rules and interventions required by US laws or government.

PayPal is an acquirer, performing payment processing for online vendors, auction sites, and other commercial users, for which it charges a fee. The fee depends on what currency or payments the seller is using. In addition, eBay purchases made by credit card through PayPal may incur extra fees if the buyer and seller use different currencies.

I've personally never had much trouble finding what I needed to find on Paypal. I agree that it could be a little more user friendly, but it's not difficult to navigate at all. It's a great way to pay without using your bank account, and I like being able to send large sums of money without fees. Lifting the withdraw limit is easy - all you have to do is verify that you are who you say you are by providing SSN and a couple other requirements. The layout is easy to understand. I just wish more sites accepted PayPal (namely Amazon).

Yes, paypal is a force to be reckoned with, I agree. However, their policies have become way too strict for no reason at all. I hate the fact that if you sell on eBay, you have to wait 14 days for your funds to be clear. Also, they are extremely quick to shut off someones account for no fault of their own.

People haven't been too pleased with the service for the past several years; myself included. I much rather stick with newer services being offered by banks (such as popmoney or quickcash).

Confusing menus and a mediocre design can't stop PayPal from being a force to be reckoned with. They do everything you need them to, everything you could want them to, and they do it quickly and with great security. Whether you're a business owner, online shopper, or just someone who likes moving money around online, PayPal will get the job done right.

Just be prepared to do some hunting around through the menu tree...

There is a lot of good (for small amounts of money), with a very shady dark side (for large amounts)

The sudden ease of use that OTHER websites experience if you have a paypal account is a great advantage. The setup can be annoying, but this pales in comparison to the benefit in making small online purchases.

Just be careful if you use it for LARGE amounts of money. If a lot of money will be coming in, it trips a lot of red flags.

Since Paypal isn't a real bank, they don't answer to the FDIC...or anyone.

They can lock your account without warning, and it will be up to you to prove your innocence. And they can make it impossible for you to do so.

Strange decision to use Comic Sans as the font for the titles of the website headings.

I could not find a way to navigate away from the homepage to any deeper links with more information. One would expect that the left skyscraper section would be hotlinked to more examples.

A heavily biased so-called "news" resource - HuffPo is hypocritical in nearly every possible aspect. It claims to be strongly for diversity, and yet it practices no diversity of thought whatso...
