My name is Shane Parrish. Farnam Street is where I collect ideas from around the world and connect them onto a latticework to help us solve problems better. It's a collection of cross-disciplinary knowledge on leadership, decision making, mental models, and combinatorial creativity.

I can't say enough about how great this blog is. If you have any desire to think better, make better decisions, learn new skills, discover new books, and just generally become a better person, then you should subscribe to this blog. There is something for everyone here! The value of the blog's content is through the roof, and even when I'm not looking for things like book recommendations on Psychology and Behavioural Economics, I still get value from posts like "E.B. White’s Beautiful Letter to Someone Who Lost Faith in Humanity" and "How to Meditate". There's so much variety.

Such a fantastic podcast!
Duncan has a knack for narrative history, taking all the disparate stories and facts and weaving it all together into a story that's fun and engaging.
It's also very well researched.
Would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history.

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...
