Born in Alexandria, VA and raised in The Woodlands, TX, Carr has always had a knack for making people laugh. Throughout her youth, she was heavily involved in the arts; from performing in plays, writing original works, and doing stand up.

Carr graduated from Saint Edward's University in Austin, TX in 2009 with the full intention of working in the communications field by taking a job in the advertising department at a local paper. Fate, however, had something else in store for Carr. The same day she was let go from her job, she was offered her first professional acting job as Amiga Gringa in "In the Blood," under the direction of David Rainey.

Carr's first break into voice over work came in 2012 when she auditioned for Starship Troopers: Invasion. Since then, Carr has dubbed numerous animes for Sentai Filmworks, including "Un-Go," "Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere," and "Kamisama Dolls."

Carr can be seen in the film "Pisces," where she plays the bi-polar, free spirited Ruth, and as one of the players in her sketch comedy group, Team Effort, who focus on direct-to-web comedy shorts.

Take the body of Burt Reynolds, the voice of Betty Boop, the mindset of Batman, the soul of Dick Cheney, the career of Betty White, and the pine-fresh scent of Pine-Sol, and what do you have?

A monstrosity, that's what.

But Kris Carr is pretty cool.

This woman! Well I mean, pictures depict a pretty fourteen-ish, maybe nineteen year old girl, but her voice often sounds like a 6 year old boy. It's very confusing.

And she says she's a geek. Girls aren't geeks. Or so I was told by the debaters in high school.

I feel like the wool is being pulled over my eyes because the voice truly does not match the body. If that is honestly her on the "Reel" page then I am impressed. But I have my doubts. Many, many doubts.
