A free tool to help you find an apartment or sublet to rent. Basically, it's a big Google map with lots of house and apartment sublet and rental listings from Craigslist and other sources marked on it. Realtime filters make it easy to narrow down the massive number of apartments to just the few you'd be interested in.

My goal with PadMapper is to make apartment hunting into something people no longer dread. It shouldn't have to be harder than buying a car. You shouldn't have to deal with slimy people. You shouldn't have to make big Excel spreadsheets to keep track of what you've seen and what you think. Landlords should respond to your emails, and once you move in, you should be treated well. I'm going to help make it that way.

Apartment hunting sucks, but PadMapper helps it suck less.

The site is simple: type in your credentials, and lil balloons will pop up on the map! It pulls renting information from different sites, so no need to go combing through as many sites to find what you're looking for.

A great resource when you're looking to get some new digs. I used it to find my current place and this site made the process about five-hundred times easier.

The one thing you'll need to be wary about is that a lot of apartment complexes and companies are kind of shitty about updating the entries. There were more than a few times that I called up a place for rent only to find out that it had already been filled. This isn't PadMapper's fault at all, keep in mind, but since it aggregates from many different sources, it's just something to look out for.

This history podcast is the work of Mike Duncan, who wrote and narrated the epic 'History of Rome' podcast.

So far he has covered the English (very good), American (excellent) and French (very good) revolutions. All in lots of detail, from the 'seeds of change' that led up to th...

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...

I have found the History of English podcast absolutely riveting; in fact, I 'binged- listened' my way through the first 100 or so episodes, and am very relieved that there are clearly many more to come :-). History via etymology - a great concept, well-delivered by Kevin. Highly recommended.

It's so amazing that we have the opportunity to listen to so many years of history is such a fine detail. It's a marvel of the modern world. Thanks for doing this, Robin!
