Once one of my favorite sites to navigate, learn useless trivia, and waste hours on - Cracked has gradually descended into clickbait, heavy politicized liberal slam pieces, and generally has grown more and more akin to Buzzfeed in recent years.

The interesting thing is that although initially a counterculture media organization much like Vice, it like Vice itself has sold itself out to the highest bidder with heavily biased and/or uninformative and uninteresting listicles.

Cracked has truly become Buzzfeed 2.0. A shame.

Nicely designed minimal interface with the product clearly showcased and with a very appealing and pleasing-to-the-eye button to "Start Now".

The navigation of the website is pleasant and smooth without a large memory footprint. Would however reconsider having footer navigation links popping up in new tabs.

The website is quite pleasant to look at and is fun to navigate despite the rather slow loading time.

One thing that leaped out at me is the fact that the copyright date on the website is placed in 2023 - not even the near future. Could well be an intentional decision!

The popover by Social Intents is quite intrusive and does not fit well with the design of the webpage, would try to improve the design of it to make it appear more in line with the aesthetic of the main site.

Strange decision to use Comic Sans as the font for the titles of the website headings.

I could not find a way to navigate away from the homepage to any deeper links with more information. One would expect that the left skyscraper section would be hotlinked to more examples.

Would also be nice to see some examples of completed work and a more personal approach to contact and more information about the company for prospective customers.

Interesting idea and concept but the design of the website is a little cluttered.

The footer on the very bottom of the website on the other hand is quite sparse with no info on who the website owner is and just a blank copyright symbol.

In terms of general navigation, it is alright - but clearly designed for individual landing pages as opposed to domain-based navigation - comes across as search-optimized as opposed to user-friendly UX.

A pretty busy homepage with a lot of content on it but with nicely designed top navigation. The footer is similarly well-designed and leads the user to not be overwhelmed despite the great amount of content present on the site.

I would consider reducing the amount of options on the homepage, and perhaps replacing it with more information about the service itself rather than a simple list of all videos on the page.

Overall, however, the design is clean and functional and is generally good - and can be made great - by making the user experience somewhat less overwhelming.

A very minimal landing page which looks a little too simple to inspire confidence and trust in the user.

The top links when they do work, remove the header links and do not allow the user to navigate back to the home page without refreshing. The About, Press, and Privacy links all do not seem to function.

The privacy link in the bottom does function but once again prevents navigation back to the homepage.

In general, there are quite a few issues to work on here - primarily that of navigation, of consistent user experience, and of general layout and design to make the website look complete, and not as a work-in-progress.

Generally, a good looking site but is a little overwhelming with the sheer amount of content on it.

The landing image itself with its great number of content is a little overwhelming to the eye and this experience only increases as one scrolls down further down the page.

Finally, the footer is simply put, enormous, and is probably not highly utilized by users as a consequence. I would suggest simplifying the website greatly, giving a sparse, more minimal experience to the user - briefly outlining the strengths of the services you offer, allowing the user to find what they are looking for and more details on it as they navigate.

In general, a very busy experience which could be improved by dividing the site into more easily consumable pages.

Pleasant interface coupled with a quick loading time leaves a great initial first impression.

The very bottom of the homepage is quite sparse and looks somewhat odd with the "Contact Us" section taking up a lot of space with little else going on. In addition, the About Us section right above is quite long and takes a long time to scroll through - perhaps splitting the homepage into sub-pages could be useful to improve UX.

Overall, a good-looking first impression but the site overall could benefit from a rehaul of the below-the-fold content.

Such a fantastic podcast!
Duncan has a knack for narrative history, taking all the disparate stories and facts and weaving it all together into a story that's fun and engaging.
It's also very well researched.
Would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history.

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...

I have found the History of English podcast absolutely riveting; in fact, I 'binged- listened' my way through the first 100 or so episodes, and am very relieved that there are clearly many more to come :-). History via etymology - a great concept, well-delivered by Kevin. Highly recommended.
